Exilis Treatment OVERVIEW

The Exilis treatment is a non-invasive FDA approved treatment for body shaping and skin tightening. It uses monopolar RF (radio frequency) to deliver controlled heat to deep tissue below the surface of the skin. This heat shrinks the fat cells as well as stimulating new collagen production, leading to smoother, firmer skin.

Does it hurt?

Due to the advanced technology of the Exilis, the treatment is pain free. It has a unique cooling system that keeps the epidermis comfortable throughout the treatment. Patients can feel a slight warming sensation during the treatment but no pain.

How long does it take?

The treatments can take between 60 – 90 minutes, depending on how many areas are being treated. You should aim to have your treatments 1-2 weeks apart depending on what you are treating. A minimum of 4-6 treatments are required to achieve the desired results though most patients notice the difference from the first session.

Is there any downtime/recovery time?

There is no down time or recovery time after the treatment. The area may feel slightly warm for a 1-2 hours after treatment. It is important that you drink plenty of water before and after your treatment.

What kind of results can I expect?

Superficial results can be seen immediately, due to the tightening effect from the heat. Longer lasting results will be seen from 10-12 weeks, with final results from 12-14 weeks after. To maintain the results we recommend a top up treatment every 3 months.
