Named after Queen Nefertiti, whose bone structure continues to be admired today, the Nefertiti Facelift is a non-surgical procedure that redefines and contours the lines of the jaw and neck to give a more youthful appearance, without the need for surgery. Using cosmetic injections of botulinum toxin, we aim to restore more definition to the face and neck.

Natural ageing and the effects of gravity mean that the skin on the face loses elasticity and mid-face volume is lost. This leads to skin sagging in a downwards direction and the formation of jowls along the jawline. This results in the chiselled bone structure of the jaw being disguised by the jowling, and the face looks heavy. This is the same for both men and women.

These ideals of female beauty persist, even thousands of years later.

Thankfully, we can use cosmetic treatments to improve the ageing of the neck and jawline so we can lift, smooth and tighten the area, including relaxing the platysma muscles so their prominence is reduced. We do this primarily using the power of a prescription medicine called botulinum toxin. Tension in the tissue is released and this has an uplifting effect on the facial muscles, tightening the areas above, reducing sagging, and restoring a much more youthful and Nerfertiti-like contour to the jaw and neck. Results should last up to 6 months, depending on the level of correction, with repeat treatments required to maintain the look. Over time, the skin will also naturally recover some elasticity which will increase the overall rejuvenation.
