Our Polynucletide service is a minimally invasive procedure that is widely used all over the world to treat the skin laxity, skin pigmentation and dark circles under the eyes

The treatment involves the superficial injection of very small droplets of serums containing highly purified polynucleotides—DNA fragments extracted from salmon sperm cells or plants—directly into the skin to promote cellular regeneration, increase collagen production, and improve hydration.

Polynucleotides were first identified in the early 20th century when scientists discovered DNA as the carrier of genetic information. The therapeutic potential of polynucleotides began to be explored in the 1970s, largely thanks to pioneering researchers in regenerative medicine who recognized their ability to stimulate tissue repair and reduce inflammation. Initially used to aid wound healing and treat chronic ulcers, polynucleotide-based therapies have since evolved into popular skin rejuvenation treatments across Europe and Asia.

The key lies in both the biological activity of polynucleotides and their precise delivery. The injection technique places microdroplets just millimetres beneath the skin surface, allowing polynucleotides to stimulate fibroblast activity, reduce inflammation, and promote new blood vessel formation more effectively than topical or oral treatments.

This targeted approach supports the repair of damaged skin cells, improves skin elasticity, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and enhances overall tone and texture.

How does facial polynucletide work?

This treatment uses ultra-fine needles to inject purified polynucleotide serums directly into the skin, stimulating cellular repair and collagen production where it’s needed most.

Polynucleotide injections are commonly used to rejuvenate facial skin, improve the quality of skin on the neck and hands, and accelerate healing in aged or photo-damaged tissue

FAQ's

Facial polynucleotide treatment is very safe and suitable for a wide range of skin concerns. It is widely used in Europe and Asia with few contraindications. A consultation is required to review your medical history and ensure you have no allergies or conditions that may affect treatment.

Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals are not suitable for this treatment.

We always use a topical numbing cream to ensure your comfort. Most patients experience minimal discomfort during the procedure, often describing the sensation as mild pinching.

The treatment typically takes around 20–35 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.

You may experience some redness in the injection area and can also have small bumps or ‘blebs’ where the Polynucleotide preparation has been injected just under the skin’s surface. This will only last a few days as your body absorbs the preparation.

For skin rejuvenation Polynucleotide results in:

  • Glowing skin
  • Increases skin firmness
  • Lightening of the skin tone and pigmentation reduction (skin whitening)
  • Improvement of fine lines
  • Hydration of the skin
  • Rejuvenation of the skin
